 Tina Smith (MA, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, Prosci®) is the National Manager of Employee Relations,  Disability Management, and HR Compliance at Wawanesa Mutual Insurance, where she partners with leaders to strengthen risk management, support enterprise growth, and elevate employee  engagement.  Known for translating strategy into practical action, she has led organizational development and  change initiatives spanning HR function start-ups, labour relations and union negotiations, talent  acquisition and retention, onboarding, workplace health and safety, and benefits administration.  An active member of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) New Brunswick  chapter since 2004, Tina has held multiple board leadership roles and served on the Provincial Board  of the Professional Standards Committee. She also facilitates HR Management modules at UNB’s  College of Extended Learning and NBCC Moncton, bringing a practical, learner-centered approach to  every session.  Committed to continuous learning, she earned a Certificate in Business Leadership Excellence from  Dalhousie University and is currently pursuing her Certified Risk Management designation.  Tina is a member of the ICD Maritimes chapter and serves her community through board roles with  the Capitol Theatre, Friends of the Moncton Hospital, and the City of Moncton’s Grants Committee.  Originally from Gaspé, Québec, she lives in Moncton, NB.
