Laura Godsoe

 Laura is a senior human resources and talent management leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning higher education, executive search, and the public and private sectors. She currently serves as Assistant Vice-President, Recruitment and Talent Management at Dalhousie University, where she provides strategic leadership on recruitment, employment equity, inclusive talent practices, job design and evaluation, compensation, and leadership development

Prior to joining Dalhousie, Laura was a Partner and Diversity & Inclusion Lead at KBRS, one of Canada’s largest executive search and HR consulting firms, where she advised academic and public-sector clients nationwide. Laura holds an MA and PhD from York University and brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to HR issues, combining academic rigor, governance expertise, and hands-on leadership experience. She currently serves on several community and nonprofit boards.
