As a member of Sysco’s Eastern Leadership Team, Kathryn serves as Regional Vice President of Human Resources since joining the organization in 2021, acting as a trusted business partner and strategic leader. She guides her field team in delivering on Sysco’s HR Strategic Pillars of Colleague Experience, Talent, Inclusion, Total Rewards, and Employee & Labour Relations.
With 30 years of experience in Human Resources across diverse industries including Retail, Contact Centers, Finance, and Food Services, Kathryn brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to her role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McMaster University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from Seneca College. Known for her ability to foster emotional connections and build strong, collaborative relationships, Kathryn inspires engagement and innovation within her teams.
An accredited practitioner of the Thomas International Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, Kathryn leverages this expertise to connect emotional intelligence with business outcomes and therefore helping individuals bring their best selves to work. She is an active Mentor in Sysco’s National Mentorship program which supports colleagues with their career development. Her leadership style is empowering, focused on developing talent and creating a culture where people feel valued and supported to achieve their potential.
